Web conferencing is used to conduct live meetings or
presentations over the Internet. Our Webinars give you the
opportunity to join an internet seminar where you can view the
presenters screen remotely from your PC at home. In essence the
participant uses their computer to connected to other
participants via the internet. This can be done by downloading
the provided "HotComm" application on each of the attendees
computers, and then gaining access to the web presentation by
typing in a provided password. For Paritech Webinars, in most
cases, the room password will be "john"
A webinar is a specific type of web conference. It is typically
one-way, from the speaker to the audience with some limited
audience interaction, such as in a webcast. Our webinar are
collaborative and include polling and question & answer sessions
to allow full participation between the audience and the
presenter. You will be able to view the presenters screen and
hear him/her talk while pointing out information on screen. The
audience can type responses or questions to the presenter.

1. Click the Download hotComm CL button (below). When you get the
File Download window, select Open or Run instead of
Save.
2. Answer YES to the question: Would you like to add shortcuts to your
desktop for rooms that you connect often? and follow on screen prompts
3. For RELAY SERVER, type the following: Relay
4. For ROOM, type the following: PARITECH
5. Click Add, then Done. This adds an icon to your desktop labelled
"Connect to PARITECH"
6. When you reach the "Your hotComm CL Identity" window, enter your
hotComm Identity such as your name or nickname.
7. When ready to participate in a scheduled Webinar simply double click
the Connect to PARITECH icon on your Desktop and when asked for the
Relay Paritech" Room password type in "john". |
