I am still using datadirector 1 because datadirector 2 seems way too clumsy for me to bother with. ie having to keep dd1 in order for DM to work, copying the database each time data is adjusted, etc, etc.
What I want datadirector 3 to do:
1. to be a stand-alone application ie get rid of dd1, dd2 and DM
2. Automatically adjust data everyday for splits, capital reconstructions etc. without the user having to download data separately with DM
3. Have all the features of DD 2, of course.
4. Distribute data into equities, warrants, options
5. AND have shares distributed into sectors.
6. Have new issues automatically assigned to appropriate sectors on the day of listing without the user having to create/revise add to the distribution profiles, or wait for Paritech to provide one.
7. Have DD3 automatically display the list of all equities that have been adjusted
8. Have an intelligible, logically set out user manual that details step-by-step the various set-up procedures and how to use the various features of the new software.
Hope this helps,
