I have been a user of Market Scan for over 2 years and have found it useful for my investment decision making. The Technical analysis capability is fine but I am very frustrated with the Financial/Fundemental capability.

The reason is because the Financial database is too old. For instance, the latest financial data for of the companies whose financial year ends on 30th June is dated 30/6/2005. This is 21 months (almost 2 years) old. This makes key measures such as EPS growth etc virually useless.

Can't anything be done about having more up-to-date financial information.

Surely companies are obliged to lodge their financial reports with the ASX database earlier than 21 months?

is there a new system then? ive been planning to apply this market scan for my finance management and deploy it as soon as possible. im a little doubting about the old system.. is there a new one..
