ajl,

Paritech is aware of this problem and a new version of DM is on the website for downloading. It can be found under the "Downloads" section if you would like to give it a go.

Paritech DM has never worked for me. Its seems thats it is not able to connect through a proxy like Data Director is.
Despite numerous emails to support@paritech over the last year, I have never received a reply.
Upon seeing this latest thread I have downloaded and installed the new DM file. And now when I start the program I get an 'illegal operation' pop up with the details:

DM caused an exception ee
dfadeH in module at 0000:00000000.
Registers:

Maybe another customer can help me out?

thanks

Ripping,

Paritech DM connects to our server via a socket connection (unlike DataDirector which connects using HTTP). What this means is that if you are behind a firewall, Paritech DM may not work while DataDirector does.

Is your computer protected by a firewall? Does your ISP block any socket connections?

To get Paritech DM to work through a firewall, you need to have Port 211 (TCP) opened for outbound connections.

Regards
Paul

I can only find Data Downloader under DOWNLOADS, and I cannot find D Maintenance program.

Can you help me to locate it?

The latest version of ParitechDM can be downloaded from http://www.paritech.com.au/home/downloads/default.asp (under the Software and Updates section). Hope that helps!

thats the info I needed thankyou.

Is the older version of the DM program available? The new version still gives me the same error (as above) when attempting to start.

Thank you very much, got it, and I had to run it once only, what a difference!

Thanks again.
