USING DD3

Paritech's recommended setting for all standard ASX data clients in DD3 can be seen in image below.
This means ticking the four tick boxes as displayed.

NOTE: For those clients that wish to use DD3 instead of DD2 but do not wish to lose the usability of their existing Shares database eg Favourites, Layouts etc it is recommended that the
"ASX Everything" option be selected. This option is the same as if you where still running DD2. See Database Examples below.

As can be seen from the screen shot above, DD3 has a very straight forward interface. Using DD3 is simply a matter of selecting which database's clients wish's to create and then clicking "Update". DD3 will create and automatically maintain each database, this includes carrying out automatic maintenance for stock splits, consolidations, dilutions etc. DD3 will also automatically fix any corrupted data file. DD3 will also remove any stocks that have not traded for 3 months, however should a deleted stock re enter the market then DD3 will automatically re-install all the data for that stock.

Please note: In the DD3 image above you will see an area circled in Red, the information within this area outlines the directory path where DD3 stores the downloaded data for each selected option. This is the Directory on your computers hard drive where your data can be found for display in charting software such as MetaStock.
