Adding and deleting columns from your search will
allow you to further refine your search and allow you to
view additional information that may not be included
with the search criteria.
To add a column in
MarketScan we need to generate a list of stocks. In this
instance we will run the pre-defined MarketScan, Banks sorted by
market capitalisation.
By clicking on Run Search MarketScan generates
the current list. Now we can see that stocks in the Banking
Sector have been listed by their market capitalization.
In this next exercise we want to add a column detailing the
closing prices of these stocks. To do this we select Add
Column, then Price from the drop down menu, then
PreviousClose.
Once we have done this we can pan to the right and see that
our PreviousClose column has been added to our list.
Next, we might want to delete our Industry SubGroup column.
To do this we click on the Industry SubGroup heading, then
select Delete Column.
Once we have selected the Delete Column button the column is
deleted.
