DataDirector Downloading Software
DataDirector
DataDirector is Paritech's downloading software for
ASX and global equity data. Developed by Paritech's programmers, this software is simple
and easy to use.
For applications such as MetaStock and OmniTrader,
DataDirector will download and append data directly to the historical database.
Downloading and updating is completed in a fraction of the time provided by competitive
products. For example a daily
data download is approximately 3 seconds.
Installation is easy, simply place the CD-ROM
containing the program into your computer's CD-ROM drive and follow the screen prompts.
Enhanced features allow multiple folder formats.
Allowing you to save data in either alphabetical, sector, industry, or, create your own
personal folder structure (ASX 100, 200 etc).
Value Added Information
Subscribers to Paritech's Data service are able to access many very helpful
trading tools on top of downloading data. A built in Portfolio Manager and Trading
information gives you a jump start with your trading. This includes an inbuilt charting
facility allowing you to review and correlate data stocks across the ASX, NYSE, NASDAQ,
AMEX, LSE, SES, HKSE, OVERSEAS INDICES, Selected Metals and more.
You will also see hourly updated ASX Industry performance showing you the flow of money
into and out of the industries covered in the ASX, plus, by clicking on the industry
symbol you will be taken to the hourly update performance table showing you the stocks
within that industry and their strength position. A great way to determine investing
opportunities.

Once installed, the
software uses a Wizard to help set up the data format. On screen prompts and a series of
simple questions guide you through this procedure. |

Historical data can be
easily installed from the CD-ROM using the program's History feature. |

End of day data can be
easily downloaded by specifying the date required to download and clicking the download
button. Multiple formats for different software programs can also be downloaded at the
same time, eliminating the need for multiple downloads (note for users of both MetaStock
and OmniTrader, only one format needs to be selected, as these programs use the same
format). |

For advanced users, a
selection of securities can be selected to download into a portfolio (folder) of selected
shares, or a text file for import into your favourite portfolio management software.
