Data Delivery
Data is delivered via
the internet, at the push of a button. Download speeds
are very fast, in line with the latest technology, and
are automatically distributed across the DataTools
historical database. If you miss a couple of days, or go
away on holidays, the program remembers the date of your
last update and automatically downloads all data from
the date of your last download.
Market
Coverage
The service covers 92 of
the most important and liquid futures markets from
around the world. In addition, it offers prices for 17
key "cash markets", such as the Dow Jones
Industrial Average, the FTSE 100, the CRB Index, and
official metal prices from the London Metals Exchange.
New markets are added to
the coverage from time to time. The DataTools program
automatically integrates them into the user's database
for immediate update.
Historical
Database
The data itself is held
in Y2K compliant MetaStock format, to make things easy
for users of the world's most popular technical analysis
package. Historical prices extend back to 1980 for many
markets, or to the start of trading for others. As well
as individual futures contracts, the database contains
ready-made "continuous contracts" for all
markets.
The Data
Paritech service takes care to
ensure that its prices are carefully checked. If any
errors or omissions are discovered, corrections are sent
through with subsequent updates to ensure that the
user's database in maintained in good order.
Update times are
staggered throughout the morning, so that prices are
posted as soon as they are received and checked. The
Final Edition Update (which covers and refreshes all
markets) is available at 9.00 a.m. AEST (11.00 am
day-light saving time).

in perspective and assist users with the logistics of
futures trading.
