Downloading and Installing DataDirector

Download and install DataDirector

1. Click on the appropriate DataDirector download link above
    
2. Choose Save to Disk
    
3. Save the file in My Documents and press Save. The download is approx 1.9 MB in size.
    
4. Locate the file that you have downloaded in My Documents and double click on it. This will start up the installation of DataDirector onto your computer.
    
5. Follow all the default prompts by clicking the next button until the software is installed
    
6. Setup will install DataDirector2 in the following directory: C:\Program Files\Paritech\DataDirector2
    
7. After full installation of DataDirector2 a reboot of your computer is necessary

For Trial clients when asked to select an Exchange please select the AU-ASX. When asked to install history select Cancel. This Trial service will download daily data into a folder called Shares with a sub folder Au-Asx containing folders A-Z. NOTE: when using a Trial you can only download for a 14 day period.

Compatibility  Information

Paritech has made the installation of DataDirector 2 as easy as possible, unfortunately some computers are not up to date with all patches and updates that are available for the operating system, in such cases a visit to the Microsoft web site to retrieve all patches and updates would be in order!

Please download the appropriate file to your desktop. Once the download is complete locate the file and double click on it to install, once it has been install reboot your computer and install DataDirector2.

Other Issues

If you are upgrading from DataDirector 1 to DataDirector 2, do not uninstall DataDirector 1, as associated files are required for the Database Maintenance.

DataDirector requires Internet Explorer version 4 or higher in order to run. If you are running an earlier version of this browser, please download and install the latest version from the Microsoft Website.
