The following is a list of the most common error
codes in DataDirector and a possible cause/solution. If you have an
error code that is not listed here, please check Microsoft's
HTTP status codes page and/or
contact Support.

HTTP Send Request
Error: problem accessing the internet or there may be a problem
with your Internet Connection. |
- Check that Internet Explorer is able to access the web.
- Visit
http://ddir1.paritech.com to bring up the
DataDirector test page.
- If unsuccessful contact your ISP regarding your internet
connection.
- If successful, click the Setup button in DataDirector and
check that "Use Preconfig Proxy (as per registry)" is
selected.

| Error 13006 |
Incorrect
username and/or password has been entered |
- Click the Setup button and the Account tab
- Re-enter username/password. Ensure that these are the same
as those supplied by Paritech (these are also case sensitive).

| Error 13015 |
You are
attempting to download data before midnight, but your
subscription to data is for after midnight. |
- Download your daily data after 12:01am following the day
of trading. If you require data earlier, please contact our
consultants to
arrange this.

| Error 13020 |
You are
attempting to download data that you are not subscribed to. |
- Check that you are downloading the correct data that is
part of your subscription.
- If you are attempting this, run the Database Wizard again
and un-tick that data that you are not subscribed to.
- A common cause of this error is that you may be trying to
download Exchange Traded Options or Futures/Overseas data, but
your subscriptions is for ASX Equities and Indices only.

| Error 13023 |
Subscription
Expired. |
- Your subscription to our data services has expired. Please
contact our consultants
to re-subscribe to our data service.

Error 13024 |
All allocated
downloads (days of data) have been used for the month. |
- Before midnight customers are allowed 75 downloads (days)
per month, and after midnight 40 downloads. New clients also
receive additional to allow for backdating.
- You can request a single reset through the members area,
but after this you will not be able to download any more data,
so be careful with downloads.

Code 500
Code 504 |
Possible issue at
our end or problem with your ISP accessing our site. |
- Wait 1/2 an hour and try again, as this is usually only a
temporary problem, also check our
status page.
- Contact your ISP to find out if there is a problem
accessing ddir1.paritech.com.
- If the problem persists, please report this problem to
support@paritech.com.au and we can look into it.

Code 321 |
Your database has
become locked. |
- Check that your charting software is not running. If so,
close it down.
- You should also try the following to rectify the problem:
1. Start Windows Explorer
2. Locate your Historical Data folder
3. Locate the folder where the problem is occurring
4. Delete any files that begin with the tilde (~) character.

Code 294 |
Data files are
read only. |
- May occur when files are copied from CD to hard drive.
- Try the following instructions to rectify:
1. Start Windows Explorer
2. Locate your historical data folder
3. For each of the A-Z subfolders...
a. Highlight all files (i.e. click
CTRL + A)
b. Right click the files and choose
Properties
c. Ensure Read-only is not ticked and
click OK

Internet Explorer
is set to Work Offline. |
- This happens when your Internet Explorer is set to 'Work
Offline', to fix this problem please follow the
instructions below.
1. Start Internet Explorer
2. Go to the File Menu
3. Locate Work Offline (normally 2nd last
item)
4. If Work Offline is tick, click the item
5. Check that the tick has gone, if it has try and download
again
