Article: Combining Time Periods into MarketScan
For the avid MarketScan user, one of the powerful features is the
ability to add time periods into your searches. Adding a time period
is very simple and can be completed in the following ways:
- You can incorporate searches where you enter the word Today
in the field entry 3 . For example
Show me Securities where the DividendEx Date is greater than
Today (note remember to use a capital T)
- In addition to using the Today option, you can extend this
by adding the plus or minus sign and the number of days of
interest. For example Today + 30, or, Today -14
- Another option is to directly specify the date in the
following format "dd/mm/yy". Using inverted commas surrounding
the date. For example, show me Exchange Traded Options with an
Expiry Date less than "28/03/02".
Here are some direct example searches utilising the date option:
Example 1
Type = 'Equity'
DividendExDate > Today
DividendExDate < Today + 30
DividendPaidDate > Today + 30
DividendPaidDate < Today + 60
DividendAmount >= 0.01
Example 2
Type = 'Exchange Traded Option'
UnderlyingProduct = 'NAB'
ExcercisePrice < '28/06/02'
